On 15th October 2021 CAMRA'S tasting panel of seven tasters visited us at the Ring O' Bells in Wookey, Somerset. CAMRA tasted and scored all of our three ales - Witch Way Home, Arthur's Point and Autumn Gail.
CAMRA scored the ales as very respectable and will now be published in The Good Beer Guide 2023, we are very much looking forward to it.
Here are the full descriptions that were produced by CAMRA's tasting panel for each of our ales:
WITCH WAY HOME 4.0% Abv - SESSION PALE
The hop forward aroma prepares the way for refreshing bitterness in the juicy citrus and tropical fruit flavours overlaid on a very light malt background, prior to finishing with a lingering dry aftertaste.
ARTHUR'S POINT 4.0% Abv - SESSION BITTER
Light aroma of roast malt which continues into the flavour, balanced with some hop and dark chocolate bitterness and the sweetness of plums on the palate before a short finish with hints of liquorice and sherbert.
AUTUMN GAIL 4.2% Abv - SESSION BITTER
Slightly sweet malt on the nose, bittersweet flavour combines malty caramel, gentle hop bitterness and banana esters with hints of peppery spice in the aftertaste.
